The production and execution of 39 Steps was the best theatre experience for many years. Having seen 39 Steps many years ago I was not expecting a farcical interpretation but it was brilliant. The ti…Full review by Andyboy1232014

I have attended the mercury panto for many years, Now and again they digress from the conventional panto menu and this was one of those years, not a panto but a variety show, so disappointing. Why tr…Full review by petersF5003TT

Hi, I'm thinking of booking to see the musical Oliver at the theatre in October. It will be a birthday treat for my 10 years old granddaughter and i was hoping for advice on what the best seats are to book? I assume centre stalls, but wasn't sure what rows would be best? I know with some theatre front seats you can end up having to look up and get a neck ache and i would like to try and avoid this but obviously get a good view of everything. Thanks

Hi usually when we take the children to the panto we usually book anything from D-F and we prefer to get the end seats. When we went earlier this year I think we were in F and had a fantastic view of the stage (it was 29-33 from memory and also looking at their seating plan). My youngest is 6 and she could see perfectly well. I think wherever you sit you’d get a good view but if you can, get somewhere within the areas I mentioned. Hope this helps.
Q:
Where are the best rows/seats to sit in to view a show?
A:
In fairness, most of the seats in the Mercury offer a decent view of the stage. Probably the best seats are rows E - G in the centre but I guess they are usually booked pretty quickly!
Q:
Hi, is the second row from the front too low for children to see the stage well? (young children) thanks
A:
go a few seats further back if you can
Q:
Does row O have a restricted view at all? Any opinions? Thanks
A:
Hi, The view from Row O is unrestricted. Hope this helps!
