Amazon's e-commerce customers are experiencing unusual delivery delays following the Amazon Web Services outage on Monday — suggesting that the cloud glitch has impacted the company's own operations more than than previously reported.
According to the AWS service health page, Amazon was looking into "increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS services" in the US-EAST-1 region (i.e. data centers in Northern Virginia) as of 3:11AM ET on Monday.
The outage affected websites like Coinbase and Fortnite, and disrupted services like Signal, Zoom, and Amazon's own products, including Ring.
