Former Nebraska Cornhuskers tight end Arik Gilbert has entered the NCAA transfer portal. The former five-star recruit is once again searching for a new team after stints with Nebraska, LSU, and Georgia.

Gilbert transferred to Georgia and sat out in 2021. He saw the field briefly in 2022, catching two passes for 16 yards as a member of UGA’s national title team. Gilbert entered the portal after the 2022 season and landed at Nebraska. He ran into off-the-field trouble and did not play in 2023.
