National Guard troops in Washington, D.C., have begun carrying firearms as former President Trump threatens to deploy troops to Chicago and Baltimore.

President Donald Trump on Sunday threatened to send the military into Baltimore to “quickly clean up” crime. On Morning Joe, Gov. Wes Moore, D-Md., pushed back on Trump's threats, calling the remarks “blissfully ignorant" — and encouraged the president to come to Baltimore and 'come be educated'.

The threat came in response to an invitation from Maryland's Democrat Wes Moore for Trump to attend a safety walk.
