A 23-year-old man is accused of killing his father and wounding his mother in a shooting in Bartow on Saturday, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said. In a Monday news release, the Sheriff's Office said it is assisting the Bartow Police Department in the investigation.

A son, Joseph Voigt, was arrested after fatally shooting his father and severely injuring his mother in Bartow.

According to the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the suspect said he was upset his father had been riding him about getting a job.
