: Swept Away, the musical featuring songs by The Avett Brothers that recently posted a December 15 closing date, has been extended through Sunday, December 29. Producers Matthew Masten, Sean Hudock and Madison Wells Live say the two-week extension at the Longacre Theatre is due to a surge in ticket sales since the closing was first announced last week.

The lead producers of “Swept Away” are Matthew Masten, Sean Hudock and Madison Wells Live (founded by Gigi Pritzker). Before arriving on Broadway, the musical had runs at Berkeley Repertory Theater in California in 2022 and at Arena Stage in Washington in late 2023 and early 2024.
