Following a pair of losses to unranked UCF and West Virginia this past week, the Cougars tumbled down to the first spot outside of Monday’s latest rankings with 74 total points from voters. BYU opened the year at No. 8 in the preseason rankings and had remained in the top 25 every week since then.
The Cincinnati Bearcats controlled a pseudo wire-to-wire win over BYU on Tuesday night, rolling to a 90–68 victory while trailing for just over two minutes of game time.
