The Delhi assembly polls witnessed a division of Muslim votes but despite that the AAP managed to win six out of the seven seats.

Out of 7 Assembly seats in Delhi where Muslims comprise a major chunk of voters, AAP won six, while the remaining one going to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). While senior AAP leader Gopal Rai won from Babarpur, the party also retained Okhla, which houses Shaheen Bagh that saw widespread protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in 2020.

As the Delhi Election result is now clear, BJP has defeated AAP by crossing the majority mark. Top AAP leaders including Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia lose, while current Delhi CM Atishi won by a narrow margin.
