A driver who was street racing struck and killed a pedestrian in South Los Angeles Saturday night, police said. The crash occurred at about 10 p.m. in the area of 66th Street and Normandie Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, who was walking outside the unmarked crosswalk, was struck by the grey Dodge Charger, police said. The Charger sped away from the scene.

A woman was fatally struck by a Dodge Charger that was racing another vehicle in South Los Angeles and both vehicles fled the scene, authorities said Sunday.
