This is "Carry-On," which follows TSA agent Ethan Kopek (Taron Egerton) as he battles to save his girlfriend, Nora (Sofia Carson), from assassins led by the Traveler (Jason Bateman), who have threatened to kill Nora if Ethan doesn’t allow a bomb-filled suitcase through security.

A TSA agent is blackmailed by a shadowy figure trying to get a mysterious package aboard a Christmas Day flight in the latest feature directed by Jaume Collet-Serra ('The Shallows').

The sort of relatably flawed everyday hero who might have been played by Mel Gibson or Bruce Willis back in the ’80s, Ethan Kopek always wanted to be a cop. Instead, he’s working airport security ¬¬— and not even the essential job of scanning passengers’ baggage for bombs.

Carry-On stars Taron Egerton, who’s low-key one of the more charismatic actors of the day (see Tetris, Rocketman), here playing a TSA agent who’s having one hell of a tense Christmas thanks to a terrorist played by an extra-steely Jason Bateman.
