Fleury revealed on Monday during a season-ending interview in Minnesota that he has agreed to join Team Canada for the ice hockey world championship later this month.

Nobody could focus in the hours leading up to puck drop. Not when general manager Bill Guerin was appeared to be close to acquiring legendary goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury in a blockbuster trade.

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury isn't hanging up the skates quite yet. Fleury, who recently put the finishing touches on a 21-year NHL career, announced on Monday that he would join former teammate Sidney Crosby and Team Canada as an active participant for the upcoming IIHF Men's World Championship.
