Guy Pearce revealed in a new interview with Vanity Fair that he was blocked from starring in Christopher Nolan movies after 2000's "Memento" because a Warner Bros. executive just didn't like his acting.

Despite the critical and commercial success of their sole collaboration, Guy Pearce was blocked from working with Christopher Nolan for 20 years. The 2x Golden Globe nominee recently claimed he was denied roles in multiple Nolan films after a Warner Bros.

Clearly, that hater WB exec did not much appreciate Pearce’s work in Memento. And who knows where that person is today, or whether they’re still blocking Pearce’s opportunities. We do know that Christopher Nolan is not still at Warner Bros., so perhaps, as Pearce put it to jokingly end the VF interview, “now my time has come!”

Pearce, who collaborated with Nolan on 2000 film “ Memento ,” told Variety during the “Awards Circuit” podcast that Nolan is akin to another auteur, Stanley Kubrick.
