Jimmy Carter's legacy is more than presidential. It's a legacy of serving people. Tuesday, community members and local leaders joined to celebrate and help keep a little bit of that Carter spirit alive.

City, county and Habitat for Humanity leaders gathered Tuesday to raise a memorial wall for former President Jimmy Carter.

Carter, a Georgia Democrat who served as U.S. president from 1977-81, died Dec. 29 at age 100. He helped provide housing opportunities in Houston and across the country.
