A dip in the jet stream is expected to turn Jerry to the north and then curve it out to sea, keeping it away from Florida and the U.S., according to AccuWeather.

Tropical storm conditions are possible today and into Friday as Tropical Storm Jerry passes by the northern Leeward Islands, the National Hurricane Center said.

Jerry is not expected to be a threat to the mainland United States because a cold front will sweep off the East Coast and help deflect it out to sea.
