Coach Nick Nurse gives an update on the status of Joel Embiid and Paul George after the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Charlotte Hornets.

Joel Embiid has missed all but four games this season, largely because of “left knee injury management.” While the Sixers originally tried to play that off as part of The Plan to keep him healthy throughout the regular season, it’s become increasingly clear that Embiid is more injured than they’re letting on.

Embiid has missed four consecutive games since then, and Tuesday's game will be the fifth. Embiid will have only played in four of the team's first 19 games in 2024-25, a sobering reality as the Sixers desperately search for avenues to keep the 30-year-old healthy with four years remaining on his massive contract after this one.
