Verlander, who now has a 0-5 record and 4.52 ERA through 12 starts, remains searching for his first victory as a Giant. The 42-year-old’s next start should come against the lowly Chicago White Sox, who are 22-55 following a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

"You can't expect too many wins when you go out there every time and give up three-plus runs," Verlander said of his performance this year.

Justin Verlander has been a consistent pitcher in 20 seasons in Major League Baseball. This season, however, hasn't been too kind for Verlander, who is still searching for his first win as a San Francisco Giants starting pitcher.
