Lake County offices are closed Monday and drivers are asked to stay off the roads after a state of emergency was declared in response to heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures from a winter storm. The decision was made late Sunday by Lake County commissioners after lake-effect snow blanketed parts of county.

Drone footage captured by Kelly Matter shows scenes from Lake County, located about 30 miles east of Cleveland, blanketed with snow, including a dog frolicking in the deep snow and a boat navigating a snow-lined river.

The man's body was discovered after the sheriff's office received a call Dec. 2 reporting a 75-year-old man had not returned home when expected.

A 75-year-old man was found dead alongside his vehicle in the Fox River, the Green Lake County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
