As wildfires ravage the Los Angeles area, destroying neighborhoods and forcing tens of thousands to evacuate, the impact of the devastation continues to grow. At least five people have died and several wind-driven fires remain largely uncontained. The largest, known as the Palisades Fire, is the most destructive wildfire in Los Angeles history.
Update: Containment progress – Hurst Fire in Los Angeles County at 10%
As of Thursday morning, a fire crew of 300 succeeded in containing 10% of the fire. However, investigations into the cause are ongoing. According to Cal Fire, "Numerous firefighting air tankers from throughout the State are flying fire suppression missions as conditions allow.
