Delane is a former 3-star recruit. He originally committed to Virginia Tech, where he played three seasons for the Hokies and earned third-team All-ACC honors in 2024. After his junior season, he entered the transfer portal and committed to LSU as a 4-star transfer. He's well on his way to being one of the first corners selected in April.

LSU Police Department officers are investigating after two people were wounded in a shooting Saturday night near campus. East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services confirmed it transported two people to a hospital. The condition of the wounded was not available at the time.
