Mario Kart World will be adding a huge slate of new characters to the Mario Kart roster, albeit with a few interesting omissions.
Mario Kart World will launch on 5 June, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2. It’ll be available digitally via the Nintendo Store (£66.99, Nintendo.co.uk ), but the physical version comes in at an eye-watering £74.99 – that’s £15 more than premium titles like The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which launched at £59.99.
Nintendo is switching a few things up with its new console as it enters the next generation of gaming. The Switch 2 was unveiled Wednesday morning during a Nintendo Direct press conference, and Variety got a hands-on demo with the hardware and games launching on June 5.
The new Mario Kart World video also suggests the game will have at least 28 tracks spread across seven Cups, along with 24 vehicles. Interestingly, it looks like Mario Kart World has fully formed vehicles; players seemingly no longer select individual parts to assemble a car.
