With the possibility of frozen precipitation in east Texas, area schools and government offices may announce closures as a measure of caution and to limit the amount of traffic on potentially icy roadways.

All Texarkana Arkansas School District schools and offices will be closed on Thursday 9. Friday closures to be determined. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Thursday are canceled. Officials with Hope Public Schools say campuses will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
