Minnesota Timberwolves fans made their feelings about Jimmy Butler adamantly clear as hosts of Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors. Every time Butler touched the ball, boos rained down on the Warriors star who had made his return to the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn., for the first time since 2021.

The Timberwolves eventually granted Butler his wish 13 games into the 2018-19 season by moving him to the Philadelphia 76ers. He ended his career in Minnesota with averages of 22.0 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 2.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game. We're approaching a decade since Butler's exit, but the fans still haven't let go of their anger.

Hield had a game-high 24 points and hit five threes as the Warriors beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 99-88 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals Tuesday night. He quipped after game that he was Batman on the court because he "saved the day," adding that Butler was "still Robin."
