Ian Costello's Munster side did pick up a losing bonus point but they made qualification to the knock-out stages a little tougher for themselves due to an under-par, injury hit encounter in France

Jack Crowley and Munster had a tough night summed up by the late kicking error from the out-half away to Castres in Europe.

Munster lost a string of players to injury, prop Dian Bleuler, scrum-half Craig Casey withdrawn during the first half, while Peter O’Mahony, Thaakir Abrahams and replacements Dave Kilcoyne and Diarmuid Barron were second-half casualties.
