A nationwide cybersecurity breach has affected software used by North Dakota public schools, North Dakota Information Technology confirmed Wednesday. It was not immediately clear if any North Dakota student or teacher data was exposed.

North Dakota is working with PowerSchool to determine the scope of the breach, according to education leaders.

Union County Public Schools was among the districts whose student and teacher data was compromised by a data breach last month.
