The back-and-forth affair ended with a pinch-hit, walk-off sac fly from J.C. Escarra to give the Yankees a win over the Padres.

San Diego Padres right-hander Dylan Cease took a no-hitter into the seventh inning on Wednesday night against the New York Yankees ( GameTracker) before departing with an apparent injury. Cease could be seen on the broadcast shaking his throwing arm.

Cody Bellinger’s towering solo home run with one out in the seventh was the Yankees’ first hit against Cease, a game-tying solo shot into the second deck in right. Cease struck out nine in the loss for San Diego, walking two batters with the one hit allowed. He was removed from the game one batter after Bellinger’s blast with an apparent injury.
