The Kansas State football team will be without nearly a dozen players when it takes on Rutgers at the Rate Bowl later this month. Two more K-State football players have announced their intentions to enter the transfer portal. Carver Willis and Tre Spivey are the two most recent departures.

Rutgers and Kansas State have played just once previously, and that also came in a bowl game: The Texas Bowl back in 2006, which the Scarlet Knights won to cap off an 11-2 season, the best in program history. Whether Rutgers can beat the 8-4 Wildcats this time around remains to be seen. Kansas State is a seven-point favorite.
