The Apple TV+ series "The Studio" is, on several levels, a contradiction in terms. It's a TV show about the making of movies. It's an act of self-indulgence that works as a shrewd parody of self-indulgence.

It’s depressingly ironic to celebrate the movies—in their classical theatrical-and-celluloid configuration, no less—via a modern streaming TV series, and yet The Studio is such a spot-on tribute to film industry chaos and creativity that it’s difficult not to get swept up in its lovingly absurdist affection.

It had been previously announced that The Studio, along with Rogen, stars Kathryn Hahn , Catherine O’Hara, Ike Barinholtz and Chase Sui Wonders, with Bryan Cranston, Keyla Monterroso Mejia and Dewayne Perkins recurring as guest stars.
