Dangerously cold temperatures are expected to settle in tonight over most of the state. A winter storm watch has been issued for south Alabama and lower central Alabama starting Tuesday. Precipitation—snow, sleet, freezing rain, or a wintry mix—will begin in southwest Alabama Tuesday morning and continue through the day, moving eastward.

South Mississippi remains under a winter storm warning from late Monday night through Tuesday evening, with 1 to 3 inches of snow possible on the ground Tuesday along the Coast. The National Weather Service forecast says 4 to 6 inches of snow could accumulate along and north of the Interstate 10 and I-12 corridor,

Storm Enzo will bring the threat of wintry precipitation across the South again this week as it tracks eastward. Snow and ice are possible even farther south than when Winter Storm Cora moved through earlier this month.
