No. 11 LSU (5-1, 2-1 SEC) escaped with a win on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium after taking down the South Carolina Gamecocks 20-10 in a critical SEC showdown.

LSU had marched to the South Carolina 10 with 1:33 left in the third quarter. The Tigers led 17-10 after their previous drive, and sophomore running back Ju'Juan Johnson's 56-yard carry had placed the offense in prime position to take a two-score lead.

Somehow South Carolina walked into the locker room at halftime down only 10-7 after getting a 72-yard touchdown run from tailback Matthew Fuller. USC was only trailing a field goal after playing one of the ugliest, undisciplined halves of football you’ll see.

The No. 11 LSU Tigers (4-1) will lock horns with the South Carolina Gamecocks (3-2) in Week 7 of the 2025 season on Saturday. The game will commence at 7:45 p.m.
