The Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers will start the best-of-7 Final with Game 1 at Rogers Place on Wednesday (8 p.m. ET; CBC, TVAS, SN, TNT, truTV, MAX). It's a rematch of last season's Final, which the Florida Panthers won in seven games.

As the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers prepare to play in the Stanley Cup final beginning Wednesday, one thing that stands out for both teams is the presence of a greybeard player who already has Cup-winning experience under their belts.

Sixteen teams in total make the NBA playoffs, eight teams from both the Eastern and Western Conferences. The top six seeds in each conference advance based on the regular season record. The final two seeds in each conference are wild-card spots based on the best remaining records in each conference.
