Liftoff occurred at 9:17 p.m. EDT (0117 GMT on May 7) from CCSFS's Launch Complex-40 (LC-40) — one of two launch sites the company operates on the Space Coast.

May 6 (UPI) -- SpaceX launched a new group of Starlink V2 Mini satellites into low-Earth orbit Tuesday night. The 28 devices rode a Falcon 9 that launched at 9:17 p.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Brevard County, Fla.

Rather than shortly after sunset, SpaceX crews are now targeting 9:17 p.m. for tonight's Falcon 9 rocket launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This Falcon 9 will carry 28 Starlink satellites for deployment into low-Earth orbit.
