Randy Moss surprised the NFL world last week when he announced that he's battling a health issue and would need to wear glasses while appearing on ESPN's NFL Sunday Countdown. A few days later the network shared that Moss would be taking a leave of absence for an extended time to "focus on a personal health challenge.

“For nearly a decade, Randy has been an invaluable member of the team, consistently elevating ‘Countdown’ with his insight and passion. He has ESPN’s full support, and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is ready,” the network said in a statement Friday.

The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported. Randy Moss has become a terrific on-air presence with ESPN and Sunday NFL Countdown, but you won’t see him this week and maybe for a little while.
