Texas Rangers general manager Chris Young took dramatic action Thursday to shake up his team’s sluggish offense, demoting one of his biggest offseason acquisitions, first baseman Jake Burger.

It would not be an exaggeration to say that the Texas Rangers' offense has been the most disappointing thing in baseball this season. Coming into the campaign, there were some analysts who believed that the Rangers had the deepest lineup in baseball.

The now-former Rangers outfielder was claimed off waivers by the Seattle Mariners, the teams announced on Tuesday.
