Thomas Müller is officially heading to Major League Soccer, and he’s joining the Vancouver Whitecaps. In simple terms, Discovery Rights allow MLS teams to claim a kind of first dibs on players who aren’t already in the league.

Now, according to Give Me Sport, the Whitecaps are finalizing a deal to sign Müller. This comes following an earlier report on by Manuel Veth from Transfermarkt, who stated that the Whitecaps had come to a preliminary agreement with FC Cincinnati for the discovery rights.
