Marvel's 'Thunderbolts*' is opening on top of the domestic box office, while Ryan Coogler's "Sinners" is having another great hold.

Marvel's Thunderbolts* looks to top the box office this weekend, bringing in $31.5 million on its opening day. That opening gross puts the MCU antihero team-up movie on track for a domestic opening weekend total somewhere between $70 million and $75 million.

The Marvel movie follows the characters of Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Hannah John-Kamen and David Harbour who are forced to join forces against Lewis Pullman's The Void after getting deceived into a deadly trap by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).
