After months of intensive talks and shuttle diplomacy, a trade agreement between the European Union and the US now rests mostly on Donald Trump.

Maxwell, the ex-girlfriend of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, was interviewed by Trump administration officials in prison for the second day in a row on Friday.

Confident that his right-wing populist policies would help win him favor with Trump’s administration, Orbán said in an interview in April that while tariffs “will be a disadvantage,” his government was negotiating “other economic agreements and issues that will offset them.”

President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the U.S. and Japan had struck a trade deal that includes a 15% tariff to be levied on U.S. imports from the country. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the deal would include $550 billion of Japanese investments in the United States.
