Norway’s prime minister says his country's multibillion-dollar military and civilian support for Ukraine’s fight to defeat Russia’s invasion will stretch into next year.

WASHINGTON/KYIV, Aug 22 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump renewed a threat to impose sanctions on Russia on Friday if there is no progress toward a peaceful settlement in Ukraine in two weeks, showing frustration at Moscow a week after his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

The White House said President Donald Trump is still working toward a bilateral meeting. "Nobody is ready to throw in the towel," one national security official said.
