A right-shot winger, Leonard is a power forward who scored at will for Boston College. In his two years with the Eagles, Leonard had 61 goals in 78 games.
Leonard finished third in the NCAA in goals and fourth in points as a freshman last season, registering 31 goals and 60 points in 41 games.
That created added attention on Ryan Leonard’s NHL debut Tuesday at TD Garden.
