Amid uncertainty about the Connecticut Sun’s future, the team assured season ticket holders that it will play at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2026.

The Connecticut Sun is planning to stay here in the state and play in Uncasville next season. NBC Connecticut obtained a letter the women’s basketball team sent to season ticket holders on Wednesday that says the team will be playing at Mohegan Sun Arena in 2026 and offered fans the option to renew their season tickets.

The Aug. 7 WNBA trade deadline might not produce much in the way of fireworks. The WNBA's hard salary cap makes in-season deals challenging, and 10 of the league's 13 teams are within striking distance of the playoffs, meaning more are looking to add talent for the stretch run than trade it away.

Mohegan Sun Arena has been the Connecticut Sun's home court since 2003. Despite relocation rumors, it will remain that way at least through the 2026 season.
