The Eagles will open the season at home on Sept. 4 against the Dallas Cowboys and close the regular season Jan. 4 at home against the Washington Commanders. In between, they’ll be 15 games against 10 teams that made the playoffs last season.

Fox Sports announced 11 games that will be featured as "America's Game of the Week" during the 2025 NFL regular season on Thursday.

Long created a fake schedule that included matchups against teams not on the Eagles’ slate and games that would have forced Johnson to face some of the league’s top edge rushers in consecutive weeks. When Johnson reviewed the October portion of Long’s faux schedule, an Oct. 5 game caught him off guard.

The Commanders will play in six prime-time games this season. The NFL certainly wanted the NFC East more than any other division, as the Commanders, Eagles, and Cowboys will each play six prime-time games. Only the Kansas City Chiefs will be on prime time more often, as the Chiefs are scheduled for seven prime-time games.

“The fact that at least four — and likely more — Eagles games will be played at a time when many are watching will only make it more likely that sufficient arms will be twisted to torpedo the tush push,” Florio wrote on Tuesday.
