Surprisingly, Pokémon and Godzilla have quite a few things in common. Many Pokémon actually look like the kaiju in Godzilla movies.

All three Pokemon are dinosaur-like Pokemon with a very distinct axe-like spike on their backs. Baxcalibur’s crest looks almost identical to the dorsal spike that adorn Godzilla’s back.

So, if you are a Pokemon fan, you’ll want to remember that tale. After all, it seems the franchise’s next generation is tapping into Godzilla for a new pocket monster, and fans are loving it.
