Stevenson and Rickman were both nominated for Baftas for their performances in Truly, Madly, Deeply, the 1990 British fantasy drama about an interpreter mourning the death of her boyfriend.

Truly, Madly, Deeply's Juliet Stevenson will head up new BBC1 drama One Of Us. The Bafta-nominated star was most recently lauded for her work in hard-hitting Jimmy McGovern drama Accused.

Best known for roles in films such as Truly, Madly, Deeply and Bend It Like Beckham, Stevenson’s 40-year career has seen her perform on stage, and on both the large and small screens.
