San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee was detained by Customs and Border Protection agents at LAX on Wednesday.

According to CBS News Los Angeles, CHP officers lost sight of the suspect vehicle and officially ended the pursuit at about 1:49 a.m. Roughly 20 minutes later, at 2:07 a.m., the agency received word that the same vehicle had crashed off the 105 Freeway onto surface streets on LAX property near Nash and Imperial.

Los Angeles World Airports has begun removing the 15 illuminated pylons from the LAX entrance as part of a plan to ease traffic ahead of the 2028 Summer Olympics.

The driver, wanted for speeding, was bloodied and arrested after a chase that began Sunday in Baldwin Park, the California Highway Patrol said.
