The boss of vintage navigation company MapQuest has revealed the stunning spike in figures its service has seen since defying Donald Trump. Trump, 80, signed an executive order to change Lake Ontario to “Lake America” on August 27.

The once-dominant mapping app has surged to the top of Apple’s U.S. App Store after refusing to adopt Trump’s “Lake America” name, drawing more than half of its 2026 U.S. downloads in just six days.
