Almost two weeks after sustaining an eye injury from a July 4 fireworks-related incident, ex-Steeler Najee Harris has received an injury update courtesy of ESPN — and it’s looking like the new Chargers running back will start training camp on the non-football injury/illness list.

Los Angeles Chargers running back Najee Harris will "likely" begin training camp on the non-football injury list after suffering an eye injury in a fireworks accident at a Fourth of July event, general manager Joe Hortiz told reporters on Wednesday.

GM Joe Hortiz said it was too soon to know how long the new running back might be sidelined because of a superficial eye injury due to a fireworks mishap.
