A Lyft driver was robbed, beaten and pistol-whipped by a group of four riders Monday in north St. Louis County, police say.

ST. LOUIS — A woman was found dead in north St. Louis, and police are now investigating her death as a homicide.

"We heard several gunshots and then a car sped off. This is not common here," said one neighbor.
