The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is alerting drivers to a text message scam demanding money for unpaid tolls. Officials said new versions have been used recently, including one purporting to be a collection agency authorized to work on behalf of the turnpike.

State officials are advising New Yorkers not to fooled by a multistate text messaging scam alleging motorists have unpaid E-ZPass tolls and are at risk of "excessive late fees" unless they click on a fraudulent link.
