The CASH Act is part of a growing movement nationwide to guarantee consumers the right to pay in cash as more retailers and institutions shift to cashless operations. It follows in the footsteps of the bipartisan Payment Choice Act introduced by Senators Kevin Cramer of North Dakota and Pennsylvania’s John Fetterman, a Democrat, in July.
