Hailey Van Lith from Big 12 regular-season champion TCU has been named the conference's player of the year and the newcomer of the year after transferring to the Horned Frogs for her fifth and final college season.

Former LSU women's basketball guard Hailey Van Lith is having a bounce back year with TCU in 2025 after struggling with the Tigers in 2024.

Hailey Van Lith has been named Big 12 Player of the Week after stellar performances in wins at Arizona State and hosting No. 17 West Virginia. The TCU guard began her week with a 82-66 road win in Tucson. Van Lith neared a triple-double with 10 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Hailey Van Lith made five 3-pointers and scored 24 points, Sedona Prince added 18 points before fouling out, and eighth-ranked TCU held on for a 69-62 victory over Colorado on Friday in the quarterfinals of the women’s Big 12 Tournament.

TCU’s defense was instrumental in the win, holding Baylor to just two points in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. The Horned Frogs capitalized when Taylor Bigby and Agnes Emma-Nnopu hit back-to-back three-pointers, extending TCU’s lead to 44-36.

In her first year away from the LSU Tigers, Hailey Van Lith took over the Big 12 and led the TCU Horned Frogs to the No. 1 seed in the conference.
