Canelo Álvarez's unanimous decision victory over William Scull in May set the stage for a bout between him and Terence Crawford.

Alvarez (63-2-2) unified the division by defeating William Scull by unanimous decision in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on May 3. Crawford, who is from Omaha, Nebraska, attended that bout, and the four-division champ who is 41-0 announced in the ring with Alvarez that they would meet in September.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Terence "Bud" Crawford will officially meet on Sept. 13 in Las Vegas for Alvarez's undisputed super middleweight championship. An official press release also announced that the fight will stream live on Netflix.
